Sioux City Morningside teacher wins

Jennifer Miller has been selected as one of the six winners within our field of membership. Jennifer is at Morningside Elementary in Sioux City, and she motivates her students by showcasing how to utilize different media effectively, fostering skills they can apply throughout their lives. Her approach encourages them to explore a variety of effects and ideas for their innovative creations. (0:00) Levo is so excited to present a 2025 Adopt-a-Classroom Award (0:05) to Mrs. Jennifer Miller, who is an art teacher here (0:08) at Morningside STEM Elementary. (0:11) And she was nominated by Lisa, who (0:13) is going to tell us why she nominated Mrs. Miller. (0:16) All right, thank you.

(0:17) I nominated Mrs. Miller because she's (0:19) been my daughter's teacher. (0:21) I'm going to get emotional. (0:22) Since kindergarten, and she has been (0:25) able to embrace not just my daughter, (0:27) but all of your students, and bring out their creativity.

(0:31) She is a friendly face out on the corner (0:33) when she does bus duty or crosswalk. (0:37) She does artzonia, where she uploads probably (0:40) countless hours uploading our students' artwork online. (0:44) So our friends and family around the United States (0:47) can view their artwork.

(0:49) I've ordered many stuff off of there. (0:51) I have quilt squares. (0:52) I just love that you bring that out, especially (0:55) on my daughter, who can be pretty shy.

(0:58) So thank you for that. (0:59) And I appreciate you. (1:01) I think everyone else does as well.

(1:11) Thank you so much. (1:12) I just plan on getting more art supplies (1:15) for these wonderful kids, just to explore art and to create. (1:19) So I haven't decided officially, but definitely (1:22) something for the children to add more art to their lives.
