A Sioux Falls JAG Teacher Wins $500

Levo started its Adopt a Classroom program back in 2014 and since then has awarded over $46,000 to teachers who have been nominated to win by parents, students, or community members. Teachers receive unrestricted funds of $500. One of the 2026 winners was Jobs for America’s Graduates teacher Mrs. Nicole Fette from Sioux Falls Roosevelt, who was nominated by Mia, a student. (0:01) I think I was pleased to recognize one of our 2026 Adopt-a-Classroom winners, (0:06) Mrs. Nicole Fette from Roosevelt, who is a JAG teacher, and she was nominated by Mia. Mia, (0:12) tell us why you nominated Mrs. Fette. I nominated Mrs. Fette because, as you know, I'm a senior, (0:18) and I've been her student since my freshman year.

And since day one, honestly, she has just always (0:27) created a home in her classroom for any student, not just her JAG students, (0:32) even just her Learning Center students or her yearbook students. She's just an overall amazing (0:38) teacher, and I think she really deserves this and everything else. Thank you, Mia.

Thank you for (0:43) nominating her. I don't know how you got to know without crying. Tell us how you're going to use (0:47) the funds. You get $500. This is exciting.

Mia and her team are working really hard. She's on (0:52) Knowledge Bowl team through JAG, and this is going to help pay for the expenses when we go to (0:59) nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's expensive to travel with students, and so this will help (1:07) fund their trip to Salt Lake City. It's a conference on professionalism and competitive (1:18) activities, so it will help fund that.
